Customers will be responsible for shipping and handling charges for any returns. Full priced items purchased on the Bonita Collective online store can be returned for a full refund in the instance that:
- The goods are returned to the original purchase location within 7 days of the original purchase date. Returns outside these time frames may be accepted at the sole discretion of Bonita Collective;
- Proof of purchase to Bonita Collective’s satisfaction is provided, in the form of the Bonita transactional receipt or invoice; and
- the items are in their original condition, meaning that:
- All tags are still intact;
- The items are in their original packaging; and
- The items have not been worn, altered, damaged or washed
- No sale or clearance items can be refunded. All sales are final.
- Bonita happily offers an exchange of size, style or store credit in lieu of a refund. Store credits must be used within 12 months from the issue date.
- Refunds do not apply to pre-ordered/made to order garments.
BONITA COLLECTIVE E-BOUTIQUE RETURNS PROCEDURE
Below you can find step by step how to initiate the return:
Ensure the conditions of return listed above have been met.
Email customer service email@example.com to let us know if you'd like to exchange your garment style, size or be issued with a store credit.
Send the garment(s) back to the following address:
Email firstname.lastname@example.org with the parcel tracking number.
Once the returned garment arrives at our warehouse, please allow 2-3 business days for processing.
Once your return has been processed, you will receive an order confirmation for the exchanged item requested (If its the exact value of the original item purchased, your order will come through as $0.00) via email.
If you are exchanging your garment for a different dollar valued garment, you will need to pay the difference, or be issued with a store credit to make up the amount owing to you.
If you are needing a store credit, this will be emailed to you via our sales team once processed.
STORE CREDIT TERMS AND CONDITIONS
(a) Store Credit can be redeemed for goods and/or services at www.bonitacollective.com only. Store Credit cannot be used to purchase Gift Cards.
(b) Store Credit is valid for 12 months from the date it is issued. Any unused Store Credit will not be redeemable after 12 months. The validity date cannot be extended.
(c) Once Store Credit has been issued, the value cannot be changed to a cash refund.
(d) Store Credit does not accrue interest.
(e) Store Credit can only be used on orders associated with your original account or email address. Store credit cannot be transferred to another person or account.
(f) Bonita Collective will not be responsible for any lost or stolen Store Credit.
(g) If the value of your purchase is less than the value of the Store Credit, your spend will be deducted and the remaining balance can be redeemed when you next make a purchase. Purchase amounts that exceed the value of the Store Credit will require an additional method of payment for the balance due.
(h) If an Order made using Store Credit is cancelled or returned, the portion of the purchase attributable to the store credit will be restored to your account only, and not refunded as cash.
(i) We reserve the right to correct the balance of your store credit if we believe that a clerical or account error has occurred.
Bonita Collective will only offer refunds if:
- The garment is assessed and considered faulty.
- The garment varies significantly to the online description.
- The garment is different to the goods that were ordered.
- Faulty garments are those that are considered to hold a manufacturing fault.
- ‘Faults or damage’ that have been caused by the wearing of, or caring for the garment incorrectly are not considered faults.
If an item is assessed and considered faulty, Bonita Collective offers a number of suitable solutions:
- A repair of the garment where possible.
- An exchange of the garment.
- A full refund of the garment.
Please note: Faulty items can only be returned for the above reasons provided that the garment is returned within a reasonable time frame from the purchase date.
All items are quality checked before they are dispatched; however on rare occasions there may be a fault we didn't find.
Claims for faulty goods must be made within 2 weeks of delivery.
Please note that the general wear and tear in the course of normal use is not considered a manufacturing fault on our garments. All our garments are delicate and should be handled carefully. Sequins or embellishments unravelling or falling off from mishandling is not considered a manufacturing fault.
Our garments are handmade and can be very delicate if not handled properly. Bonita Collective is not required to fix garments that have been rough handled or worn.

RECEIVING A REFUND
Your refund will be credited by using the original payment method. Refunds can take up to 5 working days to show up on your account due to varying processing times between payment providers. You will receive a notification email once this process has been finalised.
LATE OR MISSING REFUNDS
If you have not received your refund yet, please periodically check your bank account to make sure it hasn’t been posted. Should it not appear on your statement, then please contact your credit card company directly; it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you have been through this process, please contact us at email@example.com
Our Welcome 10% discount code is valid for 2 weeks from the date of issue and does not apply to already discounted garments. Our Welcome 10% discount only applies to full priced garments. Our discounting is not redeemable for cash or credit and is valid for one use only. Our Welcome 10% Discount is not valid in conjunction with any other offer.
Once you have placed your order you will receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation email please contact us directly at: firstname.lastname@example.org
In the very unlikely case that a product you have purchased is unavailable we will contact you immediately. If the transaction has been processed we will reverse the payment. We will then inform you via email when the product will be available.
All parcels are sent with a tracking number through Australia Post. If no one is available at the time of delivery Australia Post will leave a calling card. It is your responsibility to arrange for re-delivery or pick up from your post office.
LOST OR DAMAGED GOODS
If your order is lost or damaged in transit, please contact us at sales@bonitacollective within 7 working days of placing your order so that we may assist you.
SHOPIFY PAYMENTS POWERED BY STRIPE
If for some reason a customer wishes to make a purchase and is unable to make payment through 'Shopify Powered by Stripe, Inc.' then please contact Bonita Collective via email: email@example.com and we will provide our bank details for a direct deposit.
Orders will be processed once payment has been received on our website and will be shipped within 24 hours for normal business days, unless it is a pre-order. Payments received over a weekend or public holiday will require an additional business day for processing, unless it is a pre-order.
Afterpay is a new payment option which allows you to pay your Bonita order off over four instalments, interest free.
HOW TO USE AFTERPAY

If you are using Afterpay for the first time, you can simply choose Afterpay as your payment method at checkout. Once the order is approved by Afterpay, you will be able to make more purchases using Afterpay by simply entering your Afterpay log in details and CVC upon chekcout. Once your have completed your first full payment cycle with Afterpay, the initial payment for any future purchases you pay for using Afterpay will be debited 14 days after the transaction.

TAXES & DUTIES
International shipping costs do not include any taxes or duties which may be applied by customs at the destination country and any duties or taxes incurred are the responsibility of the delivery recipient. Bonita Collective reserves the right to deduct any return costs incurred from the total return amount for orders that are refused at customs should duties and taxes be unpaid.
Please note that in accordance with Australian export regulations, we are required to declare the exact value of all items and identify the order as dutiable “merchandise”. We are also prohibited by law from identifying an order as a “gift” for export purposes, even if a customer has placed the order with the intention of delivery to a gift recipient.

All prices listed on our site are charged to your credit card in Australian dollars. The bank that has issued your credit card determines the exchange rate that you will be charged, but in general it should match closely with the current rate.
CANCELLING AN ORDER
Once your order has been placed you cannot cancel the order. At your request we are unable to cancel an order and stop an order from being dispatched. If you have incorrectly placed an order, please refer to our Returns Policy.
CARING FOR YOUR BONITA
Each Bonita garment has individual care instructions. Please follow the care instructions on the garments care label (located inside the garment halfway down the leg) Majority of our garments are loose fitting which allow you not to dry clean after every wear. To refresh and de-crease your Bonita, we recommend steaming OR hanging your Bonita in an airy place. If using an iron on a low silk friendly setting, DO NOT place any heat over the sequins or embellishments. DO NOT machine wash or tumble dry your kaftan.
All Bonita Collective's garments are made with fine fabrics - Please take care when wearing jewellery as they may snag the silk. We recommend that Bonita Kaftan’s should be folded, as the silk could stretch if hung for extended periods. If hanging, be sure to use a relatively thick hanger using rubber bands on each end of the hanger (to keep the kaftan in position whilst hung and to avoid stretching of silk).
Bonita Collective is well known for it's embellished garments & details, which are applied individually by hand in India. Each garment is unique with no two the same. With wear, some sequins and beading may come off. Please be careful when wearing your Bonita, as we may not be able to provide sequins and beads for mending purposes if damaged. DRY CLEANING YOUR BONITA
When dry cleaning your Bonita, please take it to a trusted, specialty dry cleaner. Our garments are very delicate and must be cleaned in the appropriate solvent. Due to the embellishments used on majority of our garments, we DO NOT recommend that dry cleaners use heat on the sequins/beading/embellishments.
Bonita Kaftan's are one size fitting all. That means, that all of our kaftans are free-flowing by nature, and designed to fit all shapes and sizes. Being one size fitting all, enables you to style and wear your kaftan in various ways. We offer two different lengths in some styles - short and long. Our short length, is 90cm & our long length is 136cm. Generally, our short length comes just below the knees, and our long length comes to around the ankle region. For all other Bonita Collective styles, we go by Australian sizing. Size charts can be found under > Customer Service > Sizing.
We have made the difficult decision to cease the wholesale operation of our business in Australia (meaning we will no longer have Stockists - for now). We are wonderfully lucky to have a loyal and growing customer base (i.e. you!) where we are now choosing to direct our full efforts. We are working hard to make our online store an impeccable buying experience and will continue to supplement this with regular pop-up stores all across the country (and afar!). We still wholesale internationally.
